No roof above the stars

Four walled wonder
Wondering wildly.
How can the walls come down when they hold everything up
Shelter is all around, and not over us yet
Box life up, down: shut the lid
Let the rain crumble concrete, mortar, mud and cardboard
Bring it down, it holds nothing up
No roof above the stars
Our heads looking up.
Tear at the plaster
Scream as the doors are locked up.
Below us a door mat saying welcome
Steps leading up, stairs going nowhere
Where did life go when the four walls walked out
Standing up the wreaking ball that never came.
And only waited for the roof to throw it self against time.

Heart of sand

This castle was built out of a heart full of sand
This heart it was smashed in a cradle of glass
This glass was a mirror into the world
And the world in turn sent a tide of love and washed the castle away.

Courpse

My feet they are rusting
My heart readjusting
My eyes are opening
My mind is hopeing
My hands are holding
My thoughts revolting
My head is heavy
My arms are tired
My legs retire

Summerland

Rain thunders down on dust dry hills
Echoing, permeating
Through my tin roof shack.
Tall mule deer pose
As the air becomes scented with static.
Buds of only now green weeds turn skyward
Like hungry parched mouths.

Anticipating drought
Creeks now flushed with water
Race toward the Skaha Queen.

On the road again

The train blows and my heart goes right out that door.....
It chugs just alittle to fast to catch, my heart that is.
The sun is creeping at the lip of dawn
I know it's time to move on
West, windward

Slip out to the left of the last star to the right, and straight on till morning
This cinderella home turning into a pumpkin pack at the stroke of 6

Wild Life

Singing with the crickets
Hanging off the moon
Grasping at star shine
Sleeping in the noon

Sun is shining darlin
Creeping shadows pass
Tides are rising honey
And nothings meant to last

Last until forever
Through the dreaming of the night
Though upon the day break
Nightmares take their flight

Coyotes a baying, lo hills
Deer upon the lam
How the circles spinning
Carves this secret land

South flys the gooses cackling
Frost upon the wind
Secrets of the future
How it all will end

Walk along my footsteps
Take the path less trod
Know your self is stronger
Then some past written God

Moon your face is changed
Crone has come and gone
Soon the elk departing
Leave hoof prints in the dawn

After The War

The bells toll from crumbling towers
Almost too ruined to ring
Rats roll in packs
Pigeons pack in cloisters
Hallowed halls with alabaster virgins.

They look on impassively
The sins of  sinners, strangers
As the past mantras and hail Mary's
Fade from tattered tapestries.

The Candace of countless centuries
Pass through high steeples
Embodied monoliths in the wind.

Fuck Black Velvet

Kitchen sitting
Kitchen standing
Kitchen pacing, mind racing
Bitching
Pitching
More drinking tipping
Twirling
Hurling
Reaffirming
Fuck black velvet

Not giving up, just giving in.

Something inside wanted to engage me,
Wanted to Enrage me
Throw peace aside.
Dancing ferries, being merry
Feels like ants crawling out from inside.

So why leave the light, to seek out the fight
To break past wounds healed
Because under the light, things didn't heal right
Something got left inside

Every healer knows
Whats left festers and grows
And as that monster grows
It rattles it's cage
So I gave up the light and stepped into that night
Not bothering to say goodbye

So give up your happiness and give in to rage.
Tiny frame of bones your just a broken cage.
The monster was let loose it howls to the moon
I don't expect peace too soon

The dirty boy in my bed.

You seemed like a scared little boy
Running from the monsters under your bed
I fooled myself saying you're to young for my bed

But I was really missing with my own head
I said to myself I'm just lonely
And you have no where to go.

So I gave you two pills to fight the monster
And a warm place to go
I brought you to my borrowed bed

Only innocent intentions
So lay down your head and rest your weary eyes
While I tell my self some well worn tired lies

How I was mistaken I truly felt something for you
So I buried it among the lost and forsaken
With the others that never grew
How could I be so foolish to think the monsters were only chasing you

isn't that how it goes... we leave strange small towns, with strange bugs in our bellies, saying there is not enough weird around here to eat. So we leave to find more kooky... and then we turn into strange creatures far from home... that lived inside us the whole time .

mmmmm

Your lips on my neck
As a purr slips down my throat
Over my breasts
Around the curve of my belly
And straight between my legs

Your sweet breath tickles my ear
And my skin rises in thousand of points
Craving to meet your body
Goose flesh

In your eyes I see I
Hoping that you
See you in I

My heart drums in my chest
Shaking my ribs that ring like a xylophone
My clavicle becoming a triangle
Setting my hands in motion
Eager to my bodies symphony

My body is rocking
A boat a float on mares tails
Your hands brush my thighs
And this little boat is starting to
Pitch, moan and groan

Shambles for the gambles I take for freedom.

Alone tranquility continues until unwanted loneliness sets in
The laughter from the kitchen fills me with bitterness
Why is there no seat for me, how does my laughter not fit in.
Is it braying or to silent?
Moving on everyday with the notion that each day is somthing new
Is buried I understand the words impose and burden
Though I am only wishing for intergration
Sleeping in the pines to ease a lonely mind
Seems more and more welcoming
Only temporary, life in shambles for the gambles
I take for freedom.

The mythical significance of the past eludes me.
A fortune cookie tells me to see what I have in my hand.
The sun is shining, but I shun it's warmth as I think of yesterdays rain.
Why spend today crying about yesterdays rain when the sun is shining today?

Old ghost (a group effort)

A harmless silhouette
Passes at the back door,
Explaining in whispers
How they've been here before.

Return of the ancients,
Bells of resting chime
Frozen forever in moments of time.
Rippling effect of ascended dive.

Calling them back on a memories whim,
A vacant mind welcomes them in.
Hush now my darling everyone dies,
Free lonsome spirit from where your body lies.

truth of love

Love you bid me to purge my soul of all transgressions.
Look blindly to the future and knowingly fall.
Again and again I rebuke jadism and bitterness,
In favor of raw truth
Love and hate one in the same.
Rip the heart open or crush it
Pain is inevitable as life and death it self.

Rainbow information reiteration

Reiteration of a point of information,
Rainbow lyrical, of earthly miracles
Earthbound debauchery, soaking in misery
Introspection of the reiteration of the dedication to rainbow information.

[Rainbow Information] : Information that isn't seen enough, sometimes it comes with a storm, but it is a brief moment when the clouds part and a way to understand why we have storms in the first place.

Don't bring a gun to a snow ball fight.

Around 2.30PM on Saturday, December 19, during a historic snowstorm, residents at the intersection of 14th and U Streets NW started throwing snowballs at passing Hummers.

One of the cars pelted was driven by a plainclothes police officer identified only as Det. Baylor. Baylor got out of his car and brandished his gun at the crowd.

Reason.tv's Dan Hayes was on the scene, capturing the tense c More..confrontation between police and citizens who chanted "Don't bring a gun to a snowball fight!"

Don't bring a gun to a snow ball fight!
You know it's not justice, or a fair fight.
The children grew up and what do you know,
Their all out playing in three feet of snow.

Don't bring a gun to a snow ball fight!
We aren't brain washed we know our rights.
Whats your name we demand to know,
Your badge number is what you've got to show.

Don't bring a gun to a snow ball fight!
The situation gets heated and the crowd grows tight.
You say he's arrested but you don't know?
He didn't throw the snowball so let him go.

Detective Bayler, can the situation ease?
Some one called cops on you, gun toting sleaze!
Snow hit your window I thought hummers were built for war,
Excessive force was used, and now your ready for more.

Don't bring a gun to a snow ball fight!
We will organize and know our rights.
This video is broadcast world wide
I hope that gun pointing makes you feel good inside.

Take arms with our shovels

Every time I see a "lot"
I can't help but have one thought...
Community gardens, feeding the children
Children of society
Raised on chemicals.

Homeless and traveling;
Grounded and aging.
All of the people
With room to work the land.

Tear down the fences!
Lay waste to concrete!
Take arms with our shovels!
Take back our food security!

Share with our neighbors, families and friends,
Make use of old wisdom, and the power that young bodies lend.
So while putting our hands to the earth, we take a stand.
Our food it will grow if we take care of the land.

Ally cat

I didn't get this far without being who I am.
I walk a high fence line, even if I fall now and then.

Because baby I'm an ally cat,
I'm no ones but my own,
The dumpster my gourmet
And the trash can my throne.

You can't win me or buy me
I wouldn't gamble with that
Or seduce me with home comfort
I wouldn't go for that.
Because when the night falls, and you ask me to leave,
I'm already on my way and half down the street.

When your and ally cat
Your no ones but your own
Starry sky your roof
And the open road your home.

You call me in from the rain,
Promise me good things to take away the pain
But I've heard this all before and your promises are all the same.
Because when it comes to you
I'd rather go alone
I'm an ally cat and no ones but my own.
